Gingerbread Theme

So my new awesome/crazy idea. A gingerbread theme!! I found a blog where a teacher turned the outside of her classroom into a gingerbread house - this was the beginning of the end. I thought that it was such an awesome idea that I wanted to create it myself. 

I spent countless hours searching high and low on other blogs to find great gingerbread activities to use with my kids. And success!!! I plan on doing this theme for the first week back at school. We will be reading multiple gingerbread stories and doing insane amounts of gingerbread based themes. I will be sure to post pictures and descriptions of the activities as the week goes on.

For now - check out the Kindergarten classroom gone gingerbread! I am so thankful to have an amazing friend who was home on break from college and was more enthusiastic that I could have imagined! We spent at least 12 hours simply creating the house. We stayed 6 hours after my half day on Friday and ventured back to school on Tuesday for 3 more hours to finish the creation. 

But the end result was incredible and totally worth all of the time spent!
